Theology is a system of logical thought, built on certain assumptions. These assumptions are rarely exposed to critical view. If the assumptions underlying many systems of theology were exposed, they would be seen as the house of cards they are. Then, perhaps, the church bodies built on those assumptions would merge with other church bodies and would build a Biblical system of thought, to the glory of God, the expansion of the church, and the confusion of the church's critics.
